I realise this isn't everyone's idea of a beautiful view, but I love it! I have many fond memories of Southend, so when we decided to visit today, I was thrilled! The tide was right out, but as its not paddling weather, that's okay!
I wasn't the only one who enjoyed the beach - Lucy is a digging dog and Megan loved pretending to bury things and then jumping out of the way quickly so she didn't get clawed to death!
While the girls ran round Lucy, Sam explored the beach, looking for shells. We'll have to buy a shell book for the summer 'cause I'm hoping for lots of days at the beach then and we like identifying what we find! Sam called his favourite shells "clams" - not sure what they were, but there loads of them!
